(open) bringing some real bite to frostbite

WHO: Bruno & anyone who wants a werewolf encounter.
WHERE: The Barrens
WHEN: During the first week of full moons in December.
WHAT: After having gotten injured by the librarian-turned-werewolf in Serene, Bruno is finding himself a little fuzzier and a lot more violent as the moons become full...
WARNINGS: Body horror, blood, violence, dead gargoyles.

[ The arrival of the Netherworld's winter was more surprising for Bruno than anticipated. He'd expected snow, some snow, not a ton of snow, and that pushed up his realization that he needed to leave the Barrens behind, only... the moons hanging high above the land of the dead had other ideas. He'd been feeling increasingly anxious as the moons grew towards fullness over the past few days.

When they finally did become full, Bruno seems to drop right off the map. No more trips through the cold and snow into the city, no more messages or contact over the Netherwork, only full radio silence.

Whether you're someone who's made the trip into the Barrens to check on the poor man or you simply find yourself lost in the snow, it won't be Bruno they'll encounter or, rather, it won't be Bruno as he should normally be. The week of the full moons, all they'll find is the monster that's replaced him, and depending on where they encounter him...
]
a. [ The first day of his change, before it manages to set in fully, panicked sobbing and the crash of furniture — the pews inside — can be heard knocking around the little snow-covered chapel out in the Barrens. He's inside there somewhere, the doors left ajar, the candles he typically has lit left out, leaving the place dark past those same doors... ]

b. [ Later in the long span of days where the moons remain full, the chance of encountering Bruno even remotely still as himself has passed. The chapel doors have been violently opened, one nearly torn off the hinges. Inside, pews are overturned and wrecked all over again, and maybe you were only passing by, maybe you noticed the long trail of blood of something big being dragged into the building, clear against the snow and under the moonlight, and maybe you were foolish enough to follow it. Approaching the open doors earns a quiet growl and a scuffle of something moving in the dark; do you dare approach? ]

c. [ Or maybe you're out in the Barrens for an entirely different reason. You don't know Bruno, you aren't looking for him, you aren't even heading towards the chapel, but it is still the Barrens, and as far as a certain werewolf is concerned, all of it is his territory, his hunting ground, and traveling through, a wolf's howl will go up from somewhere dangerously nearby. Watch out. ]
[ ooc: feel free to reply in brackets or prose regardless of how the log is originally written, I'll reply in like no matter what. o/ if none of these work and you'd like a more personalized prompt with werewolf!Bruno, hit me up over on the plotting post. ]
