[ He tenses at first, not used to either of these things: a casual, harmless touch and magic that glows without holy energy, somehow both warm and comfortable in a way totally separate from the usual, blue light that Mercedes would cast over his wounds despite any protest.

It's foreign, but not unpleasant. The light cuts through the chilly dark of the woods as they move towards the source of the music, and he soon holds Aspen's hand loosely back, not wanting to crush the bones of his hands in case they're as birdlike as his wings. ...Though he does press gently along Aspen's fingers with his thumb when he senses his discomfort, stepping ahead of him to take the lead should any danger await them. This is the risk of taking a healer along most anywhere—they are undoubtedly a boon, but he can't help but worry.

Thankfully, when they enter a small clearing and the music fades, the person there doesn't seem too dangerous. Just a trickster, sitting on a log with a sly smile to greet them, lantern dangling at his hand. ]
