Well... ( he taps his chin, thinking. ) It's difficult to say, at least for me. The humans have all sorts of religions. Some have certain gods and some don't.

Ah - like Pahvic! Pahvic doesn't have a god for the stars. They believe that the moon god puts the stars in the sky for every moonglow bud the sun goddess gave him. And how to pay tribute to them is different - in Stellatio, you're supposed to light candles every year and mark it with an important memory and wish on the eve of the autumn festival. It's believed that if you do, your wishes will come true on the following harvest.

My people... believe... not in gods particularly, but that nature itself is alive. The winds that buoy us are alive, they say.

I am... ( he closes his eyes, and finally steps forwards, eyes on the ground now. ) ... not sure I believe any of that. I don't feel as if any benevolent god would let our people be enslaved for so long.
