[ aah ... he does seem like a person who couldn't leave someone alone. very familiar, but it's also very cold and she'd prefer that only one person freezes in this hellscape called the shadowlands.

not that lumine gets to protest, citing reasons for heading to her home alone i.e. there could be an intruder, she can handle it on her own, it's cold and not advisable to travel, the tree will protect him, etc. she blinks and finds herself briefly hunkering over when a pile of fur is dropped unceremoniously on her shoulders. almost immediately, she turns to him. ]

[ He knows her sentiment comes from a place of kindness, and she's strong for enduring the weather for what it is. He's been surrounded by knights for too much of his life not to recognize strength and selflessness. But that's why he's ready to immediately shake his head, fixing the pelts squarely on her shoulders again before they can slip, speaking firmly. ]

I won't hear it. Bravado and frost is a combination that will kill you.

[ He knows how much cold he can handle, and he still has his winter layers, along with a silly, fluffy scarf. The cold permeates them all the same, and she is right, the cold isn't for everyone, but at least he's familiar with what the fringes of frostbite feel like and what to do about it.

Also, he's not the one in a dress. ]

Lead on—it'll be warmer once we can find shelter. At least wear this until then.
