[ The fact that they have joint custody over (1) grape inspires some complicated feelings—he's not often the jealous type, but there is a yawning gap of loneliness that opens up thinking of a world where Shez went off to the Alliance, or one perhaps where she stands side by side with Edelgard as she goes about her conquests—but there isn't much time to think about it before he hears a familiar little snicker above their heads. ]

—Ah! You!

[ No time to do anything about it though, even though he tries to snatch at the little creature before it flits away. Now there's mistletoe above their heads, wow. Right at the head of the throne. ]

[ Claude's gotten used to the obnoxious cackle of the sprites, and the flutter of their wings, so he only feels exhaustion when he realizes that there's one even here in the Shadowlands (in Dimitri's room no less). He supposes that he should've expected that Dimitri might have a more physical reaction, blinking when he tries to grab it and taking a step back to avoid being knocked over by Dimitri in the space where they're crowding the throne.

His heel knocks into something when he takes an abrupt step back however, and he let's out a surprised yelp before he goes down.

—But thankfully, not too far down. His knees hit the back of the throne and he finds himself plopped down atop it, staring up at Dimitri in surprise. ]

... Is this considered an act of aggression against Faerghus?

[ It's funny, because he's done much worse in reality. ]

[ He had, foolishly, expected that a place so representative of his soul might at least be due some privacy. But no. The mistletoe berries sparkle cheerfully above them—and he gets carried away by the momentum and surprise of Claude falling backwards, following right after him.

He ends up with a knee braced and smarting against the seat of the throne, his palms pressed to the back of it, catching his weight. His bangs slip into his eyes as he's left looking right down at Claude, practically pinning him in place.

He blinks, startled before he looks tired. ]

...I think these damnable sprites are the aggressors here, if anyone.

[ He frowns, having been through this enough times that he knows the steps. It's still... awkward, though. Somehow, knowing each other might make it more awkward? How does that work? ]
