[ does keith think he’s being particularly sneaky? no. so, he appreciates the lack of comment. the matter still stands though: the promise of warmth is right there, all they need to do is scoot in closer until there’s contact. in this one instance, keith can keep to patience however. he’s not so desperate, yet, to make the first, second, and third move. maybe in a few more minutes, when the bit of proximity warmth wanes and the chill has his teeth clattering as before.

for now, he watches shiro’s bunnies roll about in the snow, their white coats blending in perfectly. the exaggerated crack of frozen over petals being nibbled away by the bunnies named allura and hunk have keith smiling, briefly. he’s yet to admit that he approves of shiro adopting these furballs but… he supposes they can be cute.

but lumine is speaking and keith is listening – listening better now and all at once, he has a suspicion that maybe there is some shared experience here. ]

[ she's not going to deny that the bunnies are cute ... even if they're pretty terrifying, tearing through frozen leaves like those. a part of her is almost tempted to ask if they're also vampires, but that's probably not a conversation he'd like to have.

it's too late, it was her fault. it was her mistake, sharing that little tidbit about space when she's trying to be discreet about it. then again, it isn't as if she denied it either, even back in tevyat. people just didn't ask a lot of questions, lumine idly thinks as she hunches over to try and conserve the warmth within her. ]

[ keeping faith in keith’s deduction skills is a bold move. it’s hit or miss. for example, she hunches over herself, subtly signaling that she’s cold enough that adjustments need to be made. it’s an opportunity for keith to steal another inch and tap their hips, thighs, maybe even knees together in a long section of shared body heat. does he do this? no. he simply doesn’t see the opportunity.

he does, however, hear that omitted through space. not that is particularly enlightening. he frowns and turns his head, looking at her more openly, still completely ignorant that a more suave person could – and probably should – drape an arm over those hunched, tightly packed shoulders. instead, he quirks an eyebrow. ]
