[ now listen here! that’s not what keith meant! dying from the cold. though, he’s thrown by the otherwise very true contention, momentarily struck silent of a rebuttal, because yeah, keith knows a thing or two about someone looking completely healthy, yet having a shortened life expectancy.

the gust of wind comes through and… keith is as practiced as callisto. he hunkers down, turtling his neck as his shoulders hitch up, trying to block the chill from finding its way down through his coat. the cold only makes this boy crankier but the saving grace is that he’s also quite competitive. there’s an implied kind of challenge here: who will back down first? granted, conceding for this “free trial” can be perceived as just that, but…

callisto might actually want this blanket, maybe? can keith con him into actually buying it? keith picks up the folded blanket there on the shabby looking, cardboard box and simply tosses it at him. ]

[ honestly, he didn't expect his argument to be as effective as it was? but, obviously, he'll take it, which likely shows in his all the more self-assured stance. still, keith does have a way of constantly surprising him. whether it's competition or pettiness that drives the two of them...

only time will tell. that said, he is mildly shocked that he gives in the request. that said, he wonders how much further he can push it. to be honest, from his experience, there was only so much a blanket could do against the cold. still, he isn't opposed to taking it and draping it over his shoulders.

for one, he doesn't seem to be taking the task of trying it out too seriously. but, he still behaves as he does, even tilting his head as if he's in deep consideration. ] Hm, I still think it could be warmer... What are you going to do about that?
