[ Surprisingly enough, despite working at any other number of places, somehow movie theater attendant doesn’t make the list. But a job is a job, and the idea of having to go through a bunch of old film cans (see: her expectation of what this will be) looking for some old classics sounds fun! It’s like one part archeologist, and another part… movie theater attendant. But it sounds interesting! Horror isn’t really her thing, but she can find a couple of supposedly well-known films, right?

Right? ]

Uuuuugh, is this guy actually a film collector or a film hoarder? Seriously, at least label the files or something… How’s it going over there, Kurosaki-kun?

[ Calling from the other side of the projector room, sitting cross-legged amongst two piles of USB drives, Hibiki connects another to her phone, waiting for it to boot up. This wouldn’t be so bad if it didn’t take at least a few minutes to get to a movie title on each one of these, but at this rate they’ll be at it for days. No wonder this guy doesn’t want to look for it himself.

Holding her phone up and scowling at it, as if her clear displeasure will make it load faster. She already assumes that it won’t be any of the ones they’re looking for, so she’s only half paying attention as the video starts. Come on already, show her the name card– ]

…Whoa, wait, really? He’s got the Super Force Nova Five movie?! No way!

[ What the hell even is that, Hibiki? ]

that includes the time his dad had him read medical textbooks upside down while he did handstands.

he's going through the movies painstakingly. half of them are in english, which slows the process down a little. he's better at the written language than the spoken one. ）

[ Hibiki whips her head around like he just threw the biggest insult at her, because Ichigo. Ichigo how do you not know?!! ]

Right, totally different Earth. C'mere a sec, let me properly educate you, young man!

[ Like she's all that much older than him. ]

（ he'd really rather just get this over with, and almost opens his mouth to tell her so. but... he stops, after a moment, and his teeth close with a click.

and then he's coming over to sit beside her, all long legs and coltish grace. ）

Do we really have time to kill watching movies when we should be working?

（ he's perhaps a touch too dutiful by far. his shinigami work always took precedent over the human jobs he worked, but here... well, they're basically one in the same now, aren't they? so, everything gets the same baseline. ）

[ Grinning like a kid as Ichigo makes his way over, she doesn't seem remotely phased by all the fussing he does. He can belly-ache all he wants, but he's still at least marginally curious.

But why is this guy seriously all leg, how dare he hog all the height in the room. ]

Consider it a good palate cleanser from all the crap we've been watching. [ Which her dumb super sentai movie clearly isn't. It does, however, look incredibly low budget. ]

（ he sighs. age aside (which he supposes doesn't even matter when they're dead) she reminds him so much of yuzu and karin sometimes it's actually weird. ）

Should I get the popcorn?

[ Aww, is that his way of saying she's still young? That's kind of sweet, Ichigo. She would be thrilled to be compared to two angels like that. ]

Ooh, yes, good idea! [ She hits pause on her screen. ] Want me to come with you, or do you got it?

Last time I checked, getting popcorn didn't require a chaperone, Fujiwara.

he stands up, stretches out one shoulder as he wanders off to the front of the theatre. some of the previous night's popcorn is bagged up and neatly awaiting reuse (gross) for the night's showing, and so he swipes a bag, and a popcorn bucket to match. portion size here is also gross, consequently.

... and why not, he also grabs them both a pop.

when he comes back in he's juggling all the items with the practiced ease of someone who has definitely managed more (unagiya would like a word) and sets it all out on the floor within easy reach as they watch the movie. ）
