[ He said, but even so, he accommodated the request. It's a small thing, after all. ]
What do you do when you're alone, then?
no subject
You should get a list. Too many Japanese people up in this place.
no subject
[ He asked, his tone a touch sharp.
Really, it's almost Piltie. The tone in his voice says as much. Sure, he'll pour Mikey's, but, that's because they both want something out of this interaction. Then again... ]
Care to divulge more?
no subject
(there's a shrug of his shoulders, a little jitter in the way his leg shakes and he stretches.)
Think of Japan as a big school of fish. Everyone does the same thing, acts the same way, wants the same thing. Tradition and expectation over feeling and potential. It's suffocating.
no subject
[ Silco wasn't exactly on the up and up on business cards, given that ones calling card was your work, but most of this seemed...
Ridiculous. ]
So it's filled with unspoken rules, and woe to whomever doesn't follow them, hm? I think I know a place like that. It's not a place I frequent.
[ A beat, and then: ] It sounds horrible.
no subject
(a quick search on google could tell anyone what they needed to know, after all.)
It's... Good and bad. I guess from where I'm standing, I can't complain much. You ever heard of yubitsume?
no subject
No?
Why would I have heard about that?
cw yubitsume
Yakuza men do it to show remorse after fucking up. Send you a pinky as souvenir. Or-- maybe they don't want conflict, so they do it as proof of honesty.
no subject
Cut ones own finger, to prove their loyalty? That's just a waste of ones grip.
[ He said, bluntly. Odd, that they would do so in some place like this Japan, where it seemed like most rules were societal. Finger-cutting was so different. ]
I can think of some people who would keep a collection.
Does it actually mean that they're being honest?
no subject
It does. They do it themselves.
no subject
[ He isn't a fighter, but he doesn't need to point that out. Instead: ]
Resources are scarce enough for us, I suppose you could say, a pinky wasted is another body that we can't use, but I suppose just murdering those who betray us is probably no better. At least a poorly aimed bullet will hit sometimes, hm?
Maybe I should consider that.
no subject
no subject
That's more like it. ]
I like that.
no subject
(and he gets up, only to pace a little. oh, drugs. he's awake, he's awake!!!)
no subject
An upper was fine, after all. ]
Hm, he certainly sounds like he belongs where I'm from. I'll let you keep him, though. I have my own... unique underlings.
no subject
(tap. tap tap tap tap foot. tap. where's his drink? he wants a drink. a drink is nice, where can he get a drink? he'll drink silco's.)
Who? They here?
no subject
No. Unfortunately. Sevika did lose an arm for me once. Still around, though.
[ And he wasn't telling anyone about Jinx. ]
cw suicide mention
(MIKEY. BE NICE.)
no subject
Good, I suppose. Someone has to run things while I'm gone, hm?
[ Silco's hand felt for his drink, and he made a face when he realized that Mikey had Stolen his.
Rude. ]
no subject
(here's an empty glass, silco.)
no subject
This time, he held onto it. Too bad, he's filling his own drink, deal with it. ]
Oh, she doesn't have the vision, I suppose, but she's loyal. Not to me, but to our city. I don't doubt that she would keep things in line.
no subject
(it's hitting him alright. he sits down again, only because he wants to see whether silco's pupil(s?) have grown larger yet.)
cw: vague mention of eye trauma
[ His tone is airy, but... Mikey has a point. He doesn't want to be a rested dead, but... does he have a choice? He can't... go back. At least as far as he knew, he couldn't. Unless there was a a way to reverse the very permanent death he'd embraced.
Mikey sat back down, and he watched him carefully. One pupil had grown, of course, the other... Well, his eye didn't change to much -- unless it was the jolt of shimmer in the eye itself. ]
Some people believe in them, but... They're fools, obviously.
no subject
(no in your case it was probably psychosis mikey but ok keep going
he sighs, though, watching the pupils and their difference. at least they've already established it doesn't hurt, but it doesn't make it any less freaky or fascinating to see it upclose.)
Only one from that list is here. I myself-- I don't remember dying perse. Do you? I think some of us just didn't die.
no subject
He didn't want to talk about that, but everyone seemed driven to talk about it more than others. Now that Jinx was here, he wanted nothing more than to pretend it hadn't happened. ]
I had thought I was, I was recently injured. [ He said, carefully. ] Someone from my world, however, came from a different point, and I know she's alive.
So... it's very well possible that I'm not, and I was just shot.
[ By her. ]
