Before he could pull himself to get to the Glacian (Sword) and pull up his shield to block any attempt at being knocked out, he was pulled back and knocked out.

[Cell]
The Centurion woke up to find his vision kind of fuzzy and any sort of way to protect himself gone. The cell was dark, smelled bad, and had sherks. Why the hell was this oddly familiar? The smell of blood, sand, anything...Gladiators..
"Mauris" He cursed in latin..
He sat up, watching the guards move among the cells, almost as a jaunting kind of encounter but he knew they could probably be careless about these people.
Somehow, he had to get out of here with help.
This setup was probably a lot different than what he was used to. But he eyed the cages, getting his eyes adjusted to the dark. He needed to distract the guard.
"Veni pugnare me sicut verus homo."
He'd hope a taunt in a dead language like Latin would get a guard's attention.
[Escape/Wildcard]
I'll work out an escape plan for our characters etc.. let me know, and I can customize, and or/save or kill prisoner.

[Out of trouble- For @wrists]
[Marius wasn't happy about the brand that stung on his arm and luckily his outfit had covered it for the time being and his armor.]
He looked at Laurent "you say only badaliscus skin can heal branding like this? How big and how strong are we talking about this creature here? He was suddenly glad to have some form of weapon for something like this.
"You have something from the guards to fight the creature? Need a weapon? Luckily the guards didn't need the weapons anymore.

cell
it hasn't been an easy task sneaking into the gallows, but the darkness affords sylvain some cover. he sticks to the ample shadows pooling inside the prison, patiently working his way towards the cells, hoping to find some sign of his friends.
he pauses when he hears a gruff voice from behind a set of bars, footsteps as the jailkeep slowly rounds on whichever inmate has spoken out of turn. and for a moment, he just watches and assesses. (he can't use any magic here, but maybe if the guard's attention is diverted enough to the prisoner, he could launch an ambush from behind...) ]
Re: cell
Latin/ English- "You heard me"
Marius was directing the guard to him to get attention so whoever was out there could take out the guard in question or guards.
If he had a bit of lockpicking skills, he could break the shackles kept on his legs.
The second the guard opened the door to beat the Centurion's feet with a club, the shackles were situated in a way to trip the guard in his path "NOW!"
no subject
he moves from his hiding spot on cue, kicking behind the guard's knees to ensure they tumble the rest of the way to the ground.
it works, but the sentry isn't completely incapacitated yet. they lash out blindly with their club, hoping catch either prisoner or infiltrator. ]
Watch out!
[ he sidesteps a wide swing, hoping the noise won't attract more trouble. ]
no subject
Marius frowns "You got the keys? Get me out, and I'll grab my stuff and we can leave this place."
no subject
[ he kneels down next to the unconscious body to filch said keys, holding them up so marius can see. tada. ]
I think one of them should work for those. [ sylvain points to the shackles. ] Hold still?
[ he's gonna test the smaller keys on them, and then they've really gotta scramble before the next shift arrives. ]
no subject
"Looks like we don't have that much time before the next guard shift comes back. Hold on, got to grab my stuff and we can get out of this place."
no subject
Sure, but hey, you wouldn't happen to any idea where the others are being kept would you? I'm looking for some friends of mine.
[ sylvain's not unwilling to help this stranger escape, but of course he's gonna keep an eye out for the people he came to rescue while he's at it. (though, it could very possibly be that they've already been freed elsewhere...) ]
no subject
This man's already did a lot, all he has to do is either wait or get out of the place himself while helping others in the process.
no subject
[ he's not sure they can go back the way they came—likely more guards are being attracted to the entrance as they speak. ]
Either way, we might have to fight our way out, or look for another exit. What're you thinking?
no subject
((//GET THEM! [Guards]))
Marius growled "That doesn't look good, there has to be another way!"
"Come on! Before the guards overwhelm us!"
Marius started to make his way toward a very dark red arrow written pointing toward a secret cave exit.
Running as fast as he can to hold off the guards coming thier way was easier said than done, but the cave was dark.
no subject
it's dark as pitch inside, but once they're far away enough from the gallows, and sylvain feels his magic return, he risks a(n extremely weak) fire spell for the sake of visibility, holding up a (very) small flame like a torch. ]
...Where are we?
[ this had better lead them back above ground... ]
no subject
"Not sure how long you can keep the flame going, but there's supposed to be a staircase just a few steps forward. "Look!" He points to an ascending staircase, leading to freedom.
no subject
[ his magic is fickle here even without the barrier in place. hopefully, he can maintain this pitiful amount until they reach the exit. ]
Have you been here before...?
[ he tries to move carefully around the cave-ins, glowing fungi and critters in the meantime. ]
no subject
Their bites are poisonous and paralyzing, but their skin can be used as bandages. [ laurent answers dryly, looking at the other man as if he is more of an inconvenience than the idea of the monster. however — ] Do you have a weapon made of iron? They are also weak to fire.
no subject
I do. My swords are made of iron. He eyes the other man before frowning.
no subject
[ he holds a hand out expectantly for it, and doesn't bother with a thank you once he gets it. laurent, despite his smaller and more slender stature, wields the sword as if he's been trained extensively, swinging the weapon in a quick, graceful arc to test out its weight. it's heavier than the ones he normally uses, but he makes do. ]
I can hunt the creature on my own. I don't require assistance.
no subject
"I'm not weak you know, and I also need something to heal my brand. "
The Centurion was weary of this man but also interested to see what the man could do with his sword.
no subject
[ but to accept help slaying a beast, in laurent's condition, would not be an unwise choice to make. he resents it all the same. ]
Though I suppose you might make a useful pack mule to carry the monster back with us.
