[ At first, he'd taken the strange cough as something that spread through the dingy jail cells so many people were packed into. But it's clear that it's something that goes beyond that—some reoccurring malfeasance here to make their lives more difficult, again.

He tries not to be too concerned, but he knows the dangers of a plague, and the lighthearted dismissal from their latest "informant" is not encouraging. Is she saying that they should spend their final days with their loved ones...? Is she just messing with them? Either way, he sighs, only lightly despairing. Just two guys, pouting at their total lack of progress. ]

If it's all the same to you, I'd rather not take her word for it.

I've heard there are tonics that can help ease the symptoms, but I do not know that they are a cure. Or even very effective. [ ... ] It seems we haven't learned much at all here.

A woman I know has been experimenting with some. I think I recall a few that she suggested.

Though I will tell you in advance, I do not spend any coin at the market here. So we will need to either labor for these potions, or look for another solution.

[ He's not sure if Keith is up for that, but he poses the option anyway. He seems like the type to be willing to do a few chores and get his hands dirty, based on the edge of attitude he has, but Dimitri won't force him into anything. ]

[ clear directions work wonders on keith. he operates much better when he has a goal to shoot for, so that’s all it takes for his pouting to subside, expression clearing into something more interested, more determined. ]

Do you mean running errands to gather supplies for the potions themselves or does this lady have specific tasks in mind?

...I think the notice board should earn us sufficient enough coin to buy what we need.

[ On Dimitri's part, he'd probably just keep his stash of coins and live without the potion, but it's an idea. Keith does seem the sort to prefer to go out and act on something rather than milling on nothing, but he doesn't want to assume. ]

If you wouldn't mind a bit of laboring, that is. [ also i'm good with any of the tasks or waiting until the new ones go up c:! ]
