So what keeps him inside isn't injury. The wounds he'd sustained in prison and from breaking out of it aren't crippling. It isn't exactly fear, either. It's just a torn mind and an unsettled nerve, one he's still trying to soothe as he looks over the angry, swollen brand on his arm, slow to heal.
The last thing he expects in the midst of this is a visitor. He nearly doesn't answer the door—but for anyone to have gotten inside this building, they can't be affiliated with the Hierarchy. And it's a familiar presence. ]
...Set?
[ Huh. That has him looking out into the hall despite looking a little disheveled, surprised. ]
Did you need something? [ Was it so urgent as to warrant a meeting? ]

One moment, he was able to provide and watch over the handful of others he had grown modestly attached to, and the next - they were gone. He seeks as many as he can, once he hears of their escape. ]
Dimitri.
[ He has nothing with him, save for himself - wearing a scrunched expression. ]
I heard of what happened. I came to - see after you.

It's a relief, so he's glad to see him, whole and hale. On the other hand—he doesn't know how to accept being seen after himself. That much is... unexpected. ]
Ah. [ ... ] So the tables have finally turned on me, have they?
[ Usually he's the one who happens to catch Set in a vulnerable hour. He steps back in an implicit invitation to step inside, quickly gathering up his hair to pull into a scruffy ponytail in an effort to be slightly more presentable, angling the inside of his arm away from sight. ]
There's no need to worry after me, but I appreciate the visit. [ He's quick to leave it at that. ] Would you like some tea? I'm afraid I don't have much else to offer.

[ He says it, but likely doesn't mean it at all. Dimitri has wound his way into Set's life in ways that cannot be explained, save for 'a man who was indeed humiliatingly interested in taking care of him, and being honest with him'. Set doesn't have many of those, to the effect of Dimitri being sorely stuck in his mind as a unique human. He'll bully him in retaliation!
Once permitted inside, he steps forward. It's better than having to fight his way in. ]
I am not worrying about you because it is a requirement, Dimitri. I only ever do what I want to.
[ Which, right now, means fetching Dimitri the nice hoagie roll he'd picked up from the markets. It's a proper sandwich, neatly wrapped in brown paper; he holds it out invitingly, in the palm of his hand. Like some weird offering. ]
I do not know if they fed you in prison, but by my recollections of such things, it's not a place that values your health. Here. Eat and tell me what happened while you were there, I am yours for the eve.

...Thank you.
[ He's looking a little ragged, so food is a good idea. But he sets it gently at an old, slightly tilted table before going to fetch them some tea anyway; the apartment is relatively nice, but everything inside it still ranges from old to tottering. ]
Even if this is your form of vengeance, it's kind of you to visit. [ It's a nice approach to bullying, and yet one he's not very good at responding to. Even with Set opening the door to speak of his experience, he has some hesitation about stepping through it, approaching the affair from a different angle. ] I hope this means you were able to avoid the whole business with the gallows.

'The bloodthirsty god of war and violence shed none of it, and thus / remained apart.'
[ Even speaking the common tongue of the Restless, his accent is a remarkable thing. Lyrical and ancient, and by the time of some of the human mortals of Earth, it is a dead thing. He recounts his own experience like theatre, like a tale that would be told orally to villages and travelers seeking the news. They would laugh over it, he thinks. The god of war, already such a miserable thing, failing to do what he was made for. ]
Many of you did not deserve the punishment they sought to levy upon you, and those of us who did, simply were overlooked due to a singular element. Stygian justice is a poignantly ill-organized aspect of this land.
