Dimitri shivers, shrugging some of the furs he's vaguely coalesced into some sort of mish-mash of a cloak further up his shoulders, before taking D's hand. There's some awkwardness in the gesture as he tries to hold on a little too loosely and no longer has grablenuts to urge him on, but it's immediately warmer than any cloak could be. ]

This again, hm?

[ He's a little amused despite himself. ]

At least this time it's of our own volition.

[Dimitri returning to his feral and squirrel-eating school days with the fur…

D allows Dimitri to hold his hand however wished; there is still warmth to it now even though a terrible biting cold has seeped down into the pit of all of them. Stranger still is how the feeling begins to slowly return to his fingers, snaking up his arm, the longer Dimitri holds onto him.]

[ The way I could immediately read this in tune. I hate you more than anything.

The warmth that generates from their hands is like the spread of a warm drink after toiling outside in the cold, spreading slowly like frost melting outward. It's nice. Especially when everything has been so gray and chilly lately. ]

Then perhaps I should say that at least it's... for a reason.

Strange, though. Were these stones supposed to be so effective at warming us? [ no, it's the body heat meme that is warm ]

[They are slowly falling victim to the body heat meme, yes. Which means D doesn't let go of Dimitri's hand, but not because the crystal isn't finished. It's interesting the length of the heat travels farther up his arm than what he'd think.

I'm not sure if it's just the stones.

[ He keeps a firm grip on D's hand for the sake of the task, but there's also a pleasant bloom of warmth that thaws out his arm, which has otherwise been stuck in permafrost the whole day. ]

No. It isn’t me.

[He doesn’t think it’s him, but he also had a forked tongue when Sylvain didn’t smooch him properly, so who knows.

He lifts his other hand, this one gloved, and takes the one Dimitri offered. The warmth makes the same slow crawl up the arm, giving some relieving comfort.]

[ He's not typically one to grasp someone's hands this easily, but he's also been raised in an environment where if there's a time for casual touch, it's for the sake of stymying the cold.

This is unusually effective, though. ]

Is this some sort of encouragement from this place to huddle for warmth through the winter?
